FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We understand that booking a wedding / function band is not something people have to do too often and that you may have questions / concerns. We have answered some of the most common questions below.

How long will the band play for?

We usually play 2 x 1.25 hour sets with a 20 minute break in between. Most people find that this is enough. We can play for a bit longer if required though. Get in touch to discuss times and costs of longer sets.

What do you charge?

It really depends on when you need us to set up, how long you want us to play for, how far we have to travel etc. Get in touch to discuss prices. You may be pleasantly surprised!

What time will the band set up?

For weddings, we can set up as soon as the wedding breakfast and speeches are finished. For functions and other events we will always aim to be set up before your guests arrive. It takes around an hour for us to set up and sound check. If you require us to set up earlier in the day let us know, there may be an extra charge for this. Get in touch to discuss.

What time do you start?

This is up to you really! We find that 9pm is a good start time though.

Do you do requests?

We don’t take requests on the night as it takes many hours of practice to perform a song to a high standard. If you would like us to learn a song (2 songs max) that isn’t on our list, for the first dance for example, then we’re more than happy to do so. Just let us know at the time of booking.

Do the band require food and drink?

Yes please! We do request that drinks are provided. Don’t worry, we wont be drinking the bar dry as we have to perform and drive home! As for food, it’s not essential but it’s always nice, and with our energy levels up we’ll put on a much better show!

What about music before and between the bands sets?

We can provide music via an ipod / laptop playlist with lighting. If you would like any particular songs / genre to be played, let us know in advance.

Do you have your own PA system and lighting?

Yes! We bring everything with us. If the venue has some additional lighting, even better!

How much space do you need and do you need a stage?

As stage is always good but it’s not essential. We can squeeze into most spaces within reason. Anything less than 3 metres in depth becomes a bit of a squash. Wherever we set up, we do need at least 2 separate power sockets.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.
